Pakistan have invested and seem to be interested in Saim Ayub a lot in the T20I format. This young kid has impressed a lot in the domestic T20 circuit but is yet to explode in the Internationals. He will get a company of experienced Mohammad Rizwan to open the innings and hopefully, this opening duo will work for Pakistan.
They have one of the best number three in the world in the form of Babar Azam and the skipper is in pretty good form. Fakhar Zaman and Babar Azam have got the skills and power to accumulate big runs in the middle overs after Powerplay.
PCB have shown interest in Azam Khan. The big boy Khan has a special ability to smash any ball out of the park and he is a good player of pace. His power game should give Pakistan the command to go blazing in the death overs.
To provide stability in the middle order, Agha Salman might make his way to the playing 11. His number might not be much impressive in the T20Is but he showed promising character in the PSL 2024.
Another power-hitter in the contingent is Iftikhar Ahmed. Iftikhar has already won his spurs on the international stage in the shortest format of the game. He is a one-of-a-kind player who can flip the sides with his bat in any given circumstances.
Imad Wasim has made his comeback to the international side and this time he looks more promising with the bat in his hands. He got absolute control with the ball in the Ireland series and he can swing some really big SIXES as well. Shadab Khan, a player with similar capabilities alike Imad Wasim is also in the lineup. These two provide the long batting options to the team and provide additional help to Azam Khan or Iftikhar Ahmed in the death overs.
Then the duo of Shaheen Afridi and Naseem Shah is pretty certain to take part and spearhead the bowling unit. They both are in absolute red-hot form, especially Shaheen Shah, who has been on another level.
