How to cook salmon ‘beautifully’ in the air fryer for a ‘delicious’ midweek dinner

Air fryers boast quick cooking times and use far less energy than traditional ovens, and you can cook almost anything in them.

The appliance can cook salmon fillets too in under 10 minutes, according to BBC Good Food.

This simple recipe has five-star ratings, serves four and is rated as super easy, ready in no time.

The notes state: “Salmon fillets cook beautifully in an air fryer and make a delicious meal when coated in a herb seasoning and served with greens and grains.”

Salmon is extremely versatile and can be served with anything from rice to potatoes to pasta.

Ingredients:

One teaspoon of salt

One teaspoon of pepper

One teaspoon of mixed herbs

One teaspoon of garlic granules

Four salmon fillets, skin on or removed

Half a tablespoon of olive oil

Cooked seasonal greens and grains such as quinoa or brown rice, optional

Method:

Start by combining the salt, pepper, mixed herbs and garlic granules in a bowl, then scatter onto a plate.

Rub each salmon fillet with a little olive oil and then roll into the seasoning to coat, making sure it’s fully covered.

Put in the air fryer basket in one layer and cook at 180C for eight to 10 minutes.

Make sure the salmon is fully cooked through before removing them from the air fryer.

If you have larger salmon fillets, they may need to be cooked for longer, keep checking after 10 minutes in one to two blasts.

Serve with greens and quinoa or rice, if you like or even with pasta to make a delicious tasty dish.
