Elephant House is owned by Ceylon Cold Stores PLC, a subsidiary of John Keells Holdings PLC, Sri Lanka’s largest listed conglomerate. Under the Elephant House brand, it manufactures and sells a range of beverages including Necto, Cream Soda, EGB (ginger beer), Orange Barley and Lemonade.
Reliance Consumer Products Ltd (RCPL), the FMCG arm and wholly-owned subsidiary of Reliance Retail Ventures Limited (RRVL), plans to take on regional brands with the portfolio of Elephant House, while its Campa brand competes with multinationals Coca-Cola and PepsiCo.
The partnership comes ahead of the peak summer season, which is expected to see a pitched battle between soft drinks companies, after a rain-impacted last summer.

Krishan Balendra, Chairperson of the John Keells Group, said in a statement that the partnership with Reliance Consumer Products marks a significant milestone in the former’s journey will capitalise on synergies of both organisations and amplify their market presence.RRVL reported a consolidated turnover of Rs 260,364 crore and net profit of Rs 9,181 crore for the year ended March 31, 2023.
