“Amazon’s decision to sign the largest office deal in Chennai in H1 2025 shows clear confidence in the city’s talent ecosystem and its infrastructure readiness,” said a senior industry executive familiar with the transaction.
This lease places Chennai firmly on the real estate map alongside Bengaluru and Hyderabad, both of which have traditionally dominated large-scale office transactions. For Amazon, the deal is part of its broader India growth strategy, where it continues to expand across e-commerce, cloud services and global technology centres.
